Privacy policy
Last updated 8 November 2026
PairForge, by GashHammer Gaming, is a web app for Warhammer 40,000 team players in Australia to prepare matchup scores and run team pairings. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
- From Google when you sign in: your name, email address and profile picture. We don't get your Google password and don't see anything else in your Google account.
- What you and your team enter: your team and role, events, your army (faction, detachment, Force Disposition and list), matchup and archetype scores, notes, pairing steps, in-game updates and results, and the opposing teams' players and lists your team enters.
- Phone notifications (if you turn them on): a delivery address for your device from your browser's notification service, so we can send you notifications.
- Basic records: a log of important changes (for example who confirmed a pairing or changed a score) to keep team history accurate, and standard server logs used to keep the service running.
How we use it
- To sign you in and show your team's information to its members.
- To send you emails you'd expect: team invitations, approval of your team, and score reminders from your captain.
- To send phone notifications you've turned on: update requests, layout choices, reminders and score rechecks.
- To keep PairForge secure, working and improving.
We don't sell your information, show advertising, or use your information to track you on other sites.
Who can see it
- Members of your team see your team's information, including your army and scores.
- The PairForge admin sees team names and captains to approve new teams, not your team's scores.
- Services that run PairForge for us: Supabase (database and sign-in, stored in Sydney), Vercel (hosting), Resend (email), Google (sign-in) and your browser's notification service. They process information only to provide their service to us. Some may process data outside Australia.
- We'll disclose information if the law requires it.
Cookies and storage on your device
We use a cookie to keep you signed in, and your browser's storage for small conveniences such as steps waiting to send when you're offline and messages you've dismissed. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies.
Keeping and deleting your information
Your information is kept while your account or team is active. Your captain can remove you from a team; your past scores and results stay in that team's history so its records make sense. You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information at any time by emailing dgashjones@gmail.com. We'll respond within 30 days.
Security
Information is sent over encrypted connections, access is limited by security rules so people only see their own teams, and secret keys are kept on the server. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Young players
PairForge is meant for players aged 16 and over. If you're younger, please ask a parent or guardian first.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy we'll update the date above, and tell users in the app about important changes. Questions or complaints: dgashjones@gmail.com. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
